History
I began my career in technology back in 1997. Over my career I have focused on web application development, data analysis and data migration using open source technologies such as Linux, PHP, Perl, Oracle, Sybase, Apache and SQL. Over the years I have grown especially passionate about the integration of technology within business.
My initial exposure to technology was at an ISP (Internet Service Provider). I helped establish this ISP back in 1997 with my immediate family. It has survived the ".COM" bust and has since evolved into a business class email and web-hosting service company called JASKE. My primary responsibility at JASKE was systems infrastructure and business/product development. The experience gave me a broad range of skills including networking, systems maintenance, security, project management and web application development.
Out of the wide spectrum of technology I worked with, I gravitated toward application development. It allowed me to extend my creative nature by finding clever solutions to just about any problem I came across in my career. For the last 10 years I have expanded my industry exposure by working within the following : Retail Pharmacy, Finance, B2B, High Tech Consulting, Hotel and Spa, Sports and Recreation, and Education. After leaving my last position as an Application Development Manger I started Stathy, Inc. to provide cost effective and creative solutions to businesses of all sizes.

At every position I held in the past, there was always a severe gap between how a business was run and how the supporting technology was implemented. This gap is what causes the implementation to fail and not the technology itself.

Leveraging open source technologies provides a robust, rapid development environment returning a quick ROI. Open Source technology needs to be tempered with proper management or it can quickly disrupt the long term success of a project. Working closely with our clients is the first and foremost priority. Some companies feel it's better to emulate a large company with "virtual" 800 numbers, complex automated answering messages and other fluff that provide no real benefit to your bottom line. I prefer to be honest, focus on my clients priorities and get the job done.

Additional
Another passion of mine is fitness and health of which I have over 15 years experience. Currently I am an elite amateur competitive cyclist with a national title under my belt. I race as a Cat 2 cyclist and have coached up to 20 athletes helping them plan and achieve their competitive goals.
